5/21 Coffee & Words Asbury Park at Asbury Park Roastery
5/18, Eat Your Words, or, Would Thou Like to Live Deliciously? Blue Stoop Workshop
Let’s bring all of those sensory and sensual details to the page! This generative workshop will encourage participants to reflect on their favorite (or least favorite) foods and food memories. We’ll read both prose and poetry, and maybe even consider how film about food can serve (no pun intended!) as inspiration. You’ll walk away with inspiration and the beginning of some new work!

4/18, Sinister Wisdom 128 Launch, Virtual
Gather with issue editors and contributors for a celebration of Sinister Wisdom 128: Trans/Feminisms on April 18 at 7 P.M. ET. This celebration will both be a vibrant reading of works published and a riveting discussion with a portion of the editorial collective that brought this issue to life. The editors will discuss the origins of the issue, touch on the hardships associated with assembling the theme, and reflect on the broader importance of Trans/Feminisms.
Members of the editorial collective participating in the event include: Red Washburn, Sara Youngblood Gregory, Claudia Sofia Garriga-Lopez, and Cassidy Scanlon.
Featured contributors reading from their works published in Trans/Feminisms include: Diandre Williams, Joan Angel Estrada, Ursh Skeet, Alison Lubar, EF Schraeder, Samantha Sapp, and Joe Kadi.

Join us for a fake AWP panel reading and discussion with Brown Bag Lit co-founder Chloe Yelena Miller and special guest poets! Poets are readers of poetry. When we’re stuck, we read to understand what others have created and better understand our own potential. Each poet will share 1-2 poems that helped them to write their own poetry followed by their original poems.
